Fall River, MA – The Vassar College Men's Varsity 8 boat raced to a victory on Saturday at the Northeast Collegiate Club Championships held in Fall River, MA. The Brewers raced past six other boats on its way to the win.
 
Vassar's only men's entry on Saturday won its race by two seconds over a boat from Army. The crew of Robert Gee (Hopewell Junction, NY), Patrick Cincotti (Brighton, MA), Henry France (Brooklyn, NY), Trygve Aarestad (Roslindale, MA), Cormac St. John (Seattle, WA), Jasper Piermarini (North Brookfield, MA), Alexander Gough-Schnapp (Cambridge, MA) and Patrick Horiszny (Red Hook, NY) steered by coxswain Miriam Baker (Idlewylde, MD) completed the race in a time of 6:49.1.
 
The Brewers were one of three boats in the race to break the seven minute barrier, with Army finishing in 6:51.1 and URI coming home in 6:55.1.
 
Following a week off, Vassar returns to action May 8-9 at the Dad Vail Regatta in Camden, NJ.
