Troy, NY – Vassar College senior Erin McCusker (Norton, MA) has been named the Liberty League Singles Performer of the Week in Women's Tennis it was announced Monday afternoon. The singles honor is the first of the season for McCusker.
 
McCusker put together a strong week, winning in both of her appearances for the Brewers in a 3-0 weekend for the team. McCusker opened the weekend with a hard fought 7-6 (8-6), 6-4 victory in Vassar's 5-2 road conference win at RPI on Saturday. To close out the weekend, McCusker battled past New Paltz' Justine Stanejko by scores of 7-6 (7-1), 7-6 (7-4) in a 7-0 victory over the Hawks.
 
With her results over the weekend, McCusker has won three straight singles decisions for the Brewers and stands at 5-8 through 13 spring decisions.
 
Vassar has won six straight contests and holds a 9-5 overall record and a perfect 5-0 mark in Liberty League play.
