Orlando, FL – The Vassar College Men's Tennis team rounded out the second day of its spring trip to Florida with a 4-0 loss to Augustana (SD) Friday afternoon.
Pedro Cattaruzzi (Chatham, NJ) and
Junchen Jia (Vai, AZ) were victorious for Vassar at second doubles.
Vassar stands at 4-3 overall following Friday afternoon's result with Augustana improving to 4-6.
Doubles
- The Vikings took decisions at first and third doubles on Friday to open a 1-0 lead in the match.
- Vassar's second pair of Cattaruzzi and Jia improved to 3-2 through five spring decisions on Friday with a 6-2 victory against the Vikings.
Singles
- Augustana claimed the three singles matches that finished on Friday, winning at the second, fourth and sixth positions.
- Nolan Kubiak (Oregon, WI) was ahead 5-2 in the second set at the time the match was clinched.
- First Year Jonas Santos (Las Vegas, NV) had a set advantage and was ahead 2-1 in the second frame when the match was decided.

- Following a day off from matches on Saturday, Vassar takes on Mary Hardin-Baylor on Sunday.
