Utica, NY - The Vassar College Men's Track and Field team began the two-day Blue and Orange Invite on the campus of Utica University on Friday evening with the 5000 meters and the Distance Medley Relay events.

5000 Meters

• First year Jay Borland raced to a seventh place finish with a time of 15:55.70 along with classmate Riley Magill placing 10th in 16:20.52.
• Sophomore Zeke DeMercurio crossed the finish line in a career-best time of 17:35.79 to finish 14th overall.

Distance Medley Relay

• The quartet of first year Ethan Spritzer, first year Lincoln Neiswender, first year Grey Fearon and first year Maslen L'Esperance scored a fourth place finish with a time of 11:13.05.

• Vassar will return for the second day of the Blue and Orange Invite beginning at 11:00 a.m. in Utica.
