Frazee Medals, Neiswender Qualifies for Finals in Opening Day of Liberty League Championships

Frazee places fifth in the 10,000 meters, Neiswender qualifies for 800 meters finals

Canton, NY - Junior Max Frazee earned a fifth place finish in the 10,000 meters to score a medal while first year Lincoln Neiswender qualified for the 800 meters finals for the Vassar College Men's Track and Field team on the first day of the Liberty League Outdoor Championships.

400 Meters
  • Sophomore Ryan Fernandes recorded a personal-best time of 53.56 while first year Grey Fearon crossed the finish line with a time of 55.11.
100 Meters
  • Sophomore Owen Gifford scored a 20th place finish with a new PR of 11.39 followed by senior Jacob Sellitti in 23rd place in 11.65.
800 Meters
  • Neiswender punched his ticket to tomorrow's final at 2:20 p.m. after finishing third in his heat and eighth overall with a career-best time of 1:55.21.
  • Sophomore Nick MacDonald placed 21st overall with a time of 1:58.81 along with first year Ethan Spritzer crossing the finish line in a season-best 2:00.56.
Hammer Throw
  • Junior Adam Finnimore registered a top toss of 31.21 meters to finish 23rd overall.
Long Jump
  • Gifford posted a top leap of 6.08 meters to score a 12th place finish.
200 Meters
  • Sellitti notched a 27th place finish with a time of 23.75 while first year Ivan Irigoyan Rojas crossed the finish line with a personal-best time of 24.40.
3000 Meters Steeplechase
  • First year Jay Borland raced to a 13th place finish with a personal-best time of 10:19.21 while sophomore Zeke DeMercurio registered a time of 11:38.77.
10,000 Meters
  • Frazee earned a fifth place finish with a new personal-best time of 31:02.33 to score the first points of the championship for the Brewers.
