Men's Track and Field Sets Seven New Personal Bests at NYU Invite

New York, NY - The Vassar College Men's Track and Field set seven new collegiate personal-bests at the NYU DIII Invite on Saturday at the Armory.

60 Meters

Senior Jacob Sellitti turned in an 11th place finish with a time of 7.61.

Mile

Senior Arlo Rucker raced to a season-best time of 4:33.38 to finish eighth overall followed by first year Grey Fearon in a personal-best time of 4:37.86 to score a 13th place finish.
First year Rafael Mellow-Bartels tallied a 12th place finish in a PR time of 4:37.97 along with classmate Ethan Spritzer placing 20th overall with a season-best time of 4:41.84.
Sophomore Zeke DeMercurio secured a new personal-best time of 4:55.99 while first year Maslen L'Esperance crossed the finish line in 4:56.53.

400 Meters

First year Jagger Gullov-Singh posted a season-best time of 58.52 to finish in the top-50.

800 Meters

First year Lincoln Neiswender earned a ninth place finish with a new PR of 1:58.70.
Fearon scored a top-30 finish with a time of 2:04.78 followed by senior Xavier Silverio in the top-45 in 2:15.54.

200 Meters

Sellitti ran to a season-best time of 23.56 to finish 34th overall while Gullov-Singh tallied a season-best mark of 25.59.

3000 Meters

First year Riley Magill set a new PR of 9:12.33 to finish 15th overall.
First year Jay Borland crossed the finish line in 9:28.75 followed by classmate Jack Brilliant with a time of 9:31.02.

4x400 Relay

The relay of Neiswender, Spritzer, L'Esperance and Fearon recorded a 10th place finish with a time of 3:43.03.

Vassar heads to the West Point Tune-Up on Saturday for the final meet before the Liberty League Championships.
