Poughkeepsie, NY – The Vassar College Men's Tennis team swept its way to a 7-0 victory over Manhattanville Saturday afternoon in its spring opener. Among the victorious on Saturday were six First Years.
Vassar improves to 1-0 following Saturday's victory while Manhattanville slips to 1-4 through five matches.

- Junior Eugene Lee (Chico, CA) cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 first singles victory against the Valiants.
- Bauermeister scored a 6-3, 6-2 second singles win for the Brewers.
- Jia clinched the win at third singles after posting an impressive 6-2, 6-0 win.
- First Year Jonas Santos (Las Vegas, NC) was victorious at the fourth position in a 7-5, 6-0 decision.
- Fifth singles was dominated by Maximus Martin (El Paso, TX) who blanked his opponent 6-0, 6-0.
- Likewise at sixth singles, Alfonso Infante (Makati, Philippines) did not drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 triumph.

- Vassar plays its second straight home match to start the spring when it hosts Nichols on February 28.
- Manhattanville hosts UMass Boston on March 18.
