Men's Track and Field Records Strong Showing at the Bomber Invitational

Frazee earns second place finish in the mile

Ithaca, NY - The Vassar College Men's Track and Field excelled at the Bomber Invitational on Saturday as several Brewers registered new personal-bests on the South Hill.

Shot Put

Junior Adam Finnimore earned a 24th place finish with a top toss of 11.63 meters.

60 Meters

Sophomore Ryan Fernandes finished 41st overall with a time of 7.36 followed by senior Jacob Selitti in the top-50 with a mark of 7.46.
Sophomore Owen Gifford crossed the finish line in a career-best time of 7.46 to finish in the top-50.

Mile

Junior Max Frazee scored a second place finish out of 57 finishers with a new career-best time of 4:22.04.
Senior Arlo Rucker tallied a 17th place finish with a time of 4:36.45 followed by first year Riley Magill posting a 22nd place finish in 4:39.51.
First year Rafael Mellow-Bartels recorded a 31st place finish with a mark of 4:43.57 while first year Ethan Spritzer finished in the top-35 with a time of 4:44.52.
First year Grey Fearon registered a 35th place mark in 4:46.35 along with first year Maslen L'Esperance in 42nd position with a time of 4:51.18.
First year Jay Borland finished 46th overall with a time of 4:54.92 followed by sophomore Zeke DeMercurio crossing the finish line in 5:05.89.

Weight Throw

Finnimore recorded a top toss of 9.22 meters.

800 Meters

First year Lincoln Neiswender garnered a ninth place finish with a time of 2:00.90 followed by Frazee in 13th with a career-best mark of 2:02.51.
Spritzer posted a 20th place finish with a time of 2:05.29 while Rucker was in the top-35 with a time of 2:08.29.
Magill recorded a top-40 finish with a mark of 2:09.69 along with L'Esperance earning a 44th place mark in 2:10.80.
DeMercurio closed the Vassar finishers with a time of 2:21.89.

200 Meters

Sellitti secured a top-45 finish with a time of 24.20 along with Gifford posting a top-50 mark with a time of 24.33.

Up Next

Vassar will return to action next weekend at the Blue and Orange Invite at Utica.
