Men's Track and Field Excels at Wesleyan Invitational

Frazee scores two top finishes for the Brewers

Middletown, CT - Junior Max Frazee scored two first place finishes as the Vassar College Men's Track and Field team returned to action for the first time in 2026 at the Wesleyan Invitational at Bacon Field House.

5000 Meters

Frazee scored a first place finish with a time of 15:58.70 followed by senior Arlo Rucker in fifth position with a time of 16:45.65.

60 Meters

Senior Jacob Sellitti tallied a 25th place finish in a time of 7.56.

Mile

First year Jack Brilliant posted a seventh place finish with a time of 4:45.08 and was followed closely by classmate Grey Fearon in eighth position in 4:45.35.

600 Meters

First year Lincoln Neiswender crossed the finish line in second place with a time of 1:26.22.
Junior Josh Garrway earned a 12th place finish in a collegiate-best1:29.91 and senior Xavier Silverio posted a career-best time of 1:37.81.

1000 Meters

Frazee earned another first place finish with a career-best time of 2:41.83 while Rucker finished third overall in a collegiate-best time of 2:47.93.
First year Ethan Spritzer tallied a fourth place finish in 2:48.00 followed by classmate Riley Magill in fifth position in 2:48.36.
First year Maslen L'Esperance closed out the Vassar finishers with a mark of 2:50.57 for a sixth place finish.

200 Meters

Sellitti earned a top-20 finish with a time of 24.65.

3000 Meters

Sophomore Zeke DeMercurio posted a fifth place finish with a time of 10:05.66.

4x800 Relay

The relay of Magill, Silverio, Spritzer and L'Esperance crossed the finish line in third place with a time of 8:38.97.

4x400 Relay

The quartet of Garraway, Neiswender, Brilliant and Frazee posted a fourth place finish with a time of 3:46.88.

Up Next

Vassar will compete at both the John Thomas Terrier Classic at Boston University and the Bomber Invitational at Ithaca next weekend.
