Men’s Soccer Edged At #19 Montclair State, 1-0

Red Hawks convert PK late in second half

Montclair, NJ – The Vassar College Men's Soccer team saw #19 Montclair State convert a penalty kick late in the second half for the only scoring in a tough 1-0 road defeat Saturday night. Junior goalkeeper Jacob Raphan (Oceanside, NY) finished the night with four saves for the Brewers.
 
Saturday's loss drops Vassar to 3-2-1 overall on the season with Montclair State remaining unbeaten at 5-0-2.
 
How It Happened
  • The Brewers and Red Hawks played a scoreless first half that featured 10 shots.
  • Montclair State went into the break with a 6-4 advantage in attempts.
  • First half corner kicks went to the Brewers by a 4-0 count.
