Sean Miller earned his first career outdoor 800 meters title and senior
Max Bergman finished with his career-best total in the decathlon to lead the Vassar College Men's Track and Field team to a seventh place finish at the Liberty League Outdoor Championships at RIT on Saturday.
Decathlon - Bergman earned a third place finish out of 10 competitors with a career-best 5622 points.
- 110 Meter Hurdles - The senior finished sixth overall with a new personal-best time of 17.12.
- Discus Throw - Bergman collected a ninth place mark with a top toss of 21.14 meters.
- Pole Vault - Bergman posted a fourth place finish with a career-best mark of 3.70 meters.
- Javelin Throw - Bergman scored a third place finish with a career-best toss of 40.51 meters.
- 1500 Meters - Bergman closed the decathlon with a seventh place finish in 5:05.34.
4x100 Relay
Discus Throw
- Sophomore Adam Finnimore tallied a top-20 finish with a personal-best toss of 33.10 meters.
1500 Meters
- Senior Jose Magana raced to a podium finish in sixth place with a regional qualifying time of 3:57.14.
- Senior Tim Buchan scored a 15th place finish with a time of 4:04.74.
110 Meter Hurdles
- Young Seo earned a medal with a seventh place finish with a personal-best time of 16.41.
800 Meters
- Miller raced to his first outdoor conference title in the 800 meters as he crossed the finish line in a facility record time of 1:52.81.
Shot Put
- Finnimore placed 16th overall with a toss of 11.89 meters.
5000 Meters
- Miller scored another podium finish with an eighth place mark with a career-best time of 14:43.332, just edging out Magana who finished in ninth in a personal-best 14:43.334.
- Senior Jason Cirrito turned in a 14th place finish with a personal-best time of 15:07.99 followed by sophomore Max Frazee in 15th in 15:11.54.
- Senior Kai Chang scored a top-20 finish with a new PR of 15:17.40 and senior Jackson Bernreuter finished in the top-25 in a new career-best 15:25.97.
4x400 Relay
- The relay of Denham, first year Nick MacDonald, Bergman and Magana earned a fifth place finish with a time of 3:25.09.
