Wednesday's loss stops a five-match winning streak for the Brewers and drops them to 8-5 overall and 4-1 in conference play. Skidmore improves to 8-9 overall and 6-1 against Liberty League rivals.
Doubles
- The Thoroughbreds swept the three doubles matches on Wednesday to earn the point.
- Maddie Kirby (Davidson, NC) and Elyse Duley (Charlotte, NC) battled at the third slot for Vassar, dropping a 6-4 decision.
Singles
- Li was victorious at the second position for Vassar, earning a hard fought 4-6, 7-5, 10-5 victory to improve to 10-1 on the season.
- Dowd cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 victory at the fourth slot on Wednesday and in the process pushed her singles record to 7-5 on the season.
- Ananya Krishnan (Chesterbrook, PA) went the distance at five for the Brewers, dropping a tight 6-1, 2-6, 2-6 decision.
- Duley also was locked in a battle at the sixth position against the Thoroughbreds, suffering a tough 6-1, 3-6, 5-10 defeat.
