New Orleans, LA - The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced its All-Region selections on Tuesday as five Vassar College Track and Field student-athletes garnered All-Mideast Region accolades. Junior Jahmilia Dennis earned All-Region accolades in the triple jump and the 60-meter hurdles, sophomore Haley Schoenegge tallied All-Region honors in the mile and the 3000-meters, senior Faye Stevens garnered pentathlon and long jump All-Region honors, first year Amanda Hanrahan was tabbed All-Region in the weight throw and sophomore Sean Miller earned All-Region accolades in the 800-meters.

Dennis, who will compete in the triple jump at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Rochester this weekend, is a five-time defending Liberty League triple jump champion with three of those championships coming during the indoor track and field season. The sophomore holds the school record for the triple jump at 11.84 meters and finished second overall at the AARTFC Indoor Championships with the new record leap.

Schoenegge, who will race in the Mile and the 3000 meters at the NCAA Championships at Nazareth, continues to set new record marks in Poughkeepsie as she currently holds the fastest Division III time in the mile at 4:51.04 and also ranks 12th nationally in the 3000 meters. Schoenegge won the Liberty League title in the Mile this season along with taking home the 2024 indoor 3000 meters title as a first year. Schoenegge is currently the defending outdoor track National Champion in the 1500 meters and is a multiple-time All-American in just her second season at Vassar.

Stevens set a new personal-best and school record mark of 3155 points for a fifth place overall finish at the AARTFC Indoor Championships at Ithaca. Stevens tallied a third place finish with a new personal-best leap of 5.44 meters in the long jump and a fifth place finish in the 800 meters with a time of 2:33.50. The senior also recorded a new personal-best toss of 8.41 meters in the shot put followed by a time of 9.50 in the 60-meter hurdles and 1.47 meters in the high jump. She also finished third at the Liberty League Championships in the pentathlon with 2698 points.

Hanrahan set a new school record and personal-best mark of 14.87 meters in the weight throw at the West Point Tune-Up to qualify for the AARTFC Indoor Championships. Hanrahan finished in the top-20 with a toss of 11.87 meters at the Liberty League Championships and earned a 29th place finish in her first regional appearance with a toss of 13.62 meters.

Miller, who will race in the 800 meters at the NCAA Indoor Championships, holds the school record with a time of 1:53.36 and finished fourth at the Liberty League Championships in the 800 meters. Miller also qualified for the NCAA Cross Country Championships this season.

Vassar will begin action at the NCAA Indoor Championships tomorrow afternoon at 2:50 p.m. with Schoenegge racing in the mile prelims along with Miller competing in the 800-meters prelims at 3:45 p.m. at Nazareth University.
