West Point, NY - The Vassar College Men's Track and Field team began the 2025-26 season on Friday at the Armory Collegiate Distance Carnival along with the West Point Crowell Open as seven student-athletes competed in the 5000 meters at the two different events.

Armory Results

• 5000 Meters
  • Junior Max Frazee posted an eighth place finish in a time of 15:11.86 followed by senior Davis Anderson in 10th place with a time of 15:44.64.

Crowell Open Results

• 5000 Meters
  • First year Rafael Mellow-Bartels put together an impressive race with a third place finish, outpacing multiple Division I runners, with a time of 15:41.96.
  • Senior Arlo Rucker finished seventh overall with a time of 15:56.90 followed by first year Jack Brilliant in 11th place in 16:20.47.
  • First year Maslen L'Esperance tallied a 15th place finish with a mark of 16:50.42 along with sophomore Zeke DeMercurio posting a 17th place finish with a time of 17:43.33.
