Brewers Drop Home Decisions To St. Lawrence, Haverford

Trio of Brewers post victories on Saturday

Poughkeepsie, NY – The Vassar College Men's Squash team returned home to the Kenyon Courts on Saturday, dropping a 7-2 decisions to both St. Lawrence and Haverford. Kyle Benson (Bronx, NY), Alexander Thorn (Rye Brook, NY) Mathew Okulski (Portland, ME) and Gabriel Lugo (East Hartford, CT) all scored victories for the Brewers on the day.

Saturday's results drop Vassar to 2-5 through seven matches on the season.

Vassar 2 – St. Lawrence 7

Benson was victorious for Vassar at the third slot against the Saints, earning a 5-11, 11-8, retired victory.
Thorn scored a four-set victory for Vassar at seven, earning an 11-6, 8-11, 11-4, 12-10 triumph.
Joseph Donato (Staten Island, NY) went four at the eighth position against St. Lawrence, battling in a 4-11, 5-11, 11-8, 3-11 defeat.

Vassar 2 – Haverford 7

Against the Fords, Okulski scored a four-set victory for the Brewers at three. After splitting the first two frames 8-11 and 11-7, Okulski posted 12-10 and 11-8 victories to earn the win.
Lugo swept Haverford's Arvin Krishnan at four in a tightly contested 13-11, 11-6, 11-8 decision.
Benson went the distance at four against the Fords, suffering a hard fought 11-5, 11-8, 9-11, 11-13, 4-11 defeat.

What's Next

Vassar returns to action on December 6 when it travels to Hamilton to take on the Continentals and Denison.
