Lexington, KY - The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its All-Region selections on Wednesday morning as Vassar College Women's Volleyball junior outside hitter
Maura McAusland was tabbed a First Team All-Region III selection for the first time in her career.
McAusland, who was named an All-Liberty League selection for the third straight season and earned her first First Team nod, scores her first career AVCA All-Region III honor following a record-setting year for the Brewers. McAusland closed the season with 404 kills, which ranks eighth all-time in Vassar program history. She also finishes the season averaging 4.54 kills per set, which is the second highest mark in program history and also ranks third all-time in hitting percentage in a single season at .329.
The junior set new career-highs in kills (404) and digs (240) while recording 44 aces and 24 total blocks to finish with a career-best 462.5 points and 5.20 points per set. McAusland buried double-digit kills in all but three matches this season while tallying six matches with 20 or more kills, including a career-high 27 winners against Union on October 18. Following her junior year, McAusland currently sits sixth all-time in attack percentage (.249) and third in kills per set (3.47) in Vassar program history for her career.
Vassar finished the 2025 season with a 19-8 overall record, which is the most victories since 2017, and 4-4 in Liberty League play to finish fifth in the conference standings.
