McCusker Drops Quarterfinal Heartbreaker At ITA Northeast Regional

Junior went 1-1 on Sunday

Saratoga Springs, NY – Vassar College junior Women's Tennis standout Erin McCusker (Norton, MA) advanced to the quarterfinal round of the singles draw at the ITA Northeast Regional on Sunday before dropping a three-set marathon match.

Singles

After going 2-0 on Saturday, McCusker eased into the quarterfinal round on Sunday with a 6-4, 6-3 Third Round victory over Aira Abalos from the College of New Jersey.
In the quarterfinal round, McCusker went against Skidmore's Konika Dhull.
After dropping the first set 3-6, McCusker rallied for a 6-4 victory in the second frame to even the match at a set apiece.
The third frame saw Dhull pull out the victory in a hard fought 7-6 (7-1) decision.

The ITA Northeast Regional Championship closes out the fall schedule for the Brewers.
