Wayne, NJ - The Vassar College Women's Volleyball team hit the road for the second straight weekend as the Brewers fell 22-25, 21-25, 25-19, 18-25 to Arcadia before dropping a 10-25, 18-25, 21-25 decision to the host William Paterson. Vassar's record moves to 2-8 overall.
ARCADIA 3 VC 1
FIRST SET
	- Vassar opened the match with a 4-1 lead in the opening set behind two kills from sophomore Maura McAusland and an ace from sophomore Holland Kaplan.
- Arcadia battled back to take a 7-5 lead after two kills from Nicole Dallara and a block from Julianna Lloyd and Kylie Strange.
- Three straight points from the Brewers put Vassar ahead 8-7 as Kaplan and senior Julie buried winners along with an ace from McAusland.
- Arcadia regained the advntage at 12-8 after an ace from Dallara before VC used six straight tallies, led by a kill from junior Ellie Kogan and a block from Kaplan and junior Rebecca Gutierrez to surge ahead 14-12.
- Vassar's lead expanded to 17-13 after consecutive blocks from Kaplan and Gutierrez and a solo block from senior Frannie Anthony-Brumfield.
- The Knights drew within 19-18 after winners from Chana Rothschild and Dallara before Vassar used a kill from Anthony-Brumfield and an ace from senior Hailey Hayes to push the lead to 22-19.
- Two more winners from Dallara followed by an ace led to the Knights taking a 23-22 lead late in the set.
- Arcadia took the opening set on back-to-back kills from Lloyd.
SECOND SET
	- VC once again took a 4-1 lead as Kaplan and McAusland each buried winners along with a block from Gutierrez and Anthony-Brumfield.
- The Knights cut the advantage to 6-5 on a Dallara kill but the Brewers built the lead back to 10-6 on a kill each from Kaplan, Hale and McAusland.
- Arcadia drew even at 15 all on a kill each from Rothschild and Dallara along with an ace from Rothschild and took a 18-16 lead on a kill from Dallara.
- Kills from Kaplan and Hale trimmed the lead to 19-18 before Arcadia extended the lead to 23-19.
- Back-to-back kills from McAusland and Hale cut the lead to 23-21 until the Knights took the set following a winner from Dallara.
THIRD SET
	- The Brewers took a 6-3 advantage in the early stages as a three-point run on kills from Anthony-Brumfield and Hale along with a block from Hale and senior Molly Ardren led the way.
- Arcadia evened the set at 10 apiece after kills from Lloyd and Rothschild.
- VC regained the lead at 16-11 following a six point surge, led by blocks from Hale, Anthony-Brumfield and Gutierrez.
- Arcadia got within 20-17 on a winner from Lloyd before Vassar took advantage of Arcadia errors to take the set.
FOURTH SET
	- After trading back-to-back four point runs, Arcadia took a 10-8 lead after winners from Strange and Dallara along with a block from Bryana Saenz and Strange.
- A kill from Gutierrez cut the lead to 13-10 until the Knights surged ahead 18-12 after a kill from Rothschild and an ace from Kailyn Riggi.
- Three straight points for the Brewers on two kills from Kaplan and an ace from Kogan cut the lead to 22-18.
- Arcadia clinched the match following a kill from Julia Archelle and a VC error.
FOR THE BREWERS
	- McAusland buried 15 kills along with lifting 10 digs while Kaplan recorded 12 kills, three aces, two blocks and a team-high 17 digs.
- Hale finished with six kills and two blocks while Anthony-Brumfield added four winners and four blocks and Gutierrez tallied four kills and four blocks.
- Sophomore Francesca Medrano handed out a team-high 18 assists and lifted 10 digs along with Ardren tallying 16 assists.
- Kogan finished with 15 digs along with five digs and two aces from Hayes.
FOR THE KNIGHTS
	- Dallara buried a match-high 24 kills and added two aces and 16 digs while Lloyd registered nine kills, two blocks and two digs.
- Rothschild finished with seven winners and two blocks along with Devon Young adding four kills.
- Saenz handed out a match-high 44 assists along with 11 digs while Riggi tallied four aces and nine digs.
- Hannah Sanchez and Sydney Steiner each recorded a match-high 18 digs.

FIRST SET
	- Vassar evened the set at four apiece on a winner from Anthony-Brumfield before William Paterson scored nine straight points, led by three kills each from Cecilia Miller and Kristian Glenn.
- The lead grew to 22-7 following back-to-back aces from Miller along with a kill from Makayda Aldrich.
- Kogan's service ace trimmed the lead to 22-10 before winners from Aldrich and Laura Gruener clinched the opening set.
SECOND SET
	- The Brewers answered in the second set as two kills from McAusland and two blocks from Hale and Ardren put Vassar ahead 9-6.
- The Pioneers responded with eight straight points, led by three aces from Miller and a kill each from Aldrich, Hope Arce-Reed and Abby Houpt.
- VC battled back to cut the lead to 19-17 on a block from Gutierrez and Anthony-Brumfield and a winner from Gutierrez,
- WP used two aces from Abigail Hayth and a winner from Arce-Reed to take the second set.
THIRD SET
	- Vassar raced out to a 6-1 lead behind two aces and three kills from Kaplan to open the third set.
- The lead grew to 13-5 following service aces from Hayes and McAusland and a winner from Hale.
- The Pioneers cut the lead down to 16-13 following an ace from Hayth and winners from Glenn and Gruener.
- VC responded to push the advantage to 20-14 on a winner from McAusland until WP tallied nine straight points to take a 23-20 lead.
- Back-to-back winners from Aldrich completed the sweep for William Paterson.
FOR THE BREWERS
	- Kaplan finished with nine kills, seven digs and two aces while McAusland recorded seven kills and nine digs.
- Gutierrez, Hale and Anthony-Brumfield each tallied two winners while Hale had three blocks and Gutierrez and Anthony-Brumfield added two.
- Medrano handed out 13 assists and lifted nine digs while Ardren added four assists and two blocks
FOR THE PIONEERS
	- Miller recorded a match-high 11 kills, five aces and seven digs along with Aldrich finishing with seven kills and four blocks.
- Glenn registered six winners while Arce-Reed added five winners.
- Houpt tallied a match-high 14 assists and five digs while Taylor Grady added 11 assists and four digs.
- Paola Molina lifted a match-high 12 digs for William Paterson.

	- Vassar will play host to non-conference foe Williams at 7:30 p.m. at Kenyon Hall.
