Brewers Conclude Vassar Fall Scramble

Vassar wins five doubles matches

Poughkeepsie, NY – The Vassar College Women's Tennis team wrapped up its first event of the fall on Sunday, competing on day two of the Vassar Fall Scramble. The Brewers finished the day with five doubles victories.

Doubles

Against Smith in a second flight decision, the Vassar duo of Sieun Lee (Wake Forest, NC) and Elyse Duley (Charlotte, NC) scored a 6-4 victory.
At the third flight against Smith, Sara Lippin (Chappaqua, NY) and First Year Liya Pomfret (Berkeley, CA) blanked their opponents 6-0.
Lee and Duley picked up their second victory of the day in a second flight match against Hamilton, earning a 6-2 win.
Against New Paltz, Duley and Lee moved to 3-0 on the day after posting an 8-2 second flight victory.
Lippin and Promfret scored their second victory of the day at the third slot with an 8-2 victory over the opponents from New Paltz.

What's Next

Vassar begins the 2024 ITA Regional Championship on Saturday, September 21.
