Vassar Opens Play At Fall Scramble

McCusker, Lee wins singles matches

Poughkeepsie, NY – The Vassar College Women's Tennis Team was in action for the first time this fall on day one of the Vassar Fall Scramble on Saturday. The Brewers welcomed Hamilton, Smith and Middlebury to the Cretella Tennis Center with Erin McCusker (Norton, MA) and First Year Sieun Lee (Wake Forest, NC) earning singles wins.

Singles

McCusker, who qualified for the NCAA Individual Championship last spring, went 1-1 at the top flight for the Brewers.
McCusker dropped the first match of the day against Middlebury before claiming a 6-2 victory over Hamilton in the second singles match of the day.
Lee had a productive collegiate debut for the Vassar, posting a 6-1 victory over the opponent from Hamilton on Saturday.

Vassar concludes the initial event of the Fall on Sunday with matches starting at 9:00 a.m.
