Oneonta, NY – The Vassar College Men's Soccer team picked up its second straight road win Saturday afternoon, holding off Oneonta 2-1. First Year 
Gavin Johnson (Cincinnati, OH) scored his first career goal and classmate 
Arden Tobolski (Chapel Hill, NC) finished the afternoon with three points.
 
Saturday's triumph pushes Vassar to 4-1 overall on the season and stops a seven-game winless streak against the Red Dragons. Oneonta suffers its first loss of the season and slips to 2-1-2 on the year.
 
How It Happened  
	- Vassar got the scoring started in the 11th minute when Tobolski gave the Brewers and early 1-0 lead.
- Tobolski finished off a feed from Jackson Hall at 10:22 to open the scoring.
- Vassar held the one-goal advantage until it doubled its lead in the 30th minute.
- Johnson received a ball from Tobsolski and buried his first career marker at 29:44 to give the Brewers a 2-0 halftime advantage.
- Vassar finished the first half with an 11-9 edge in shots.
- Oneonta dominated first half corner kicks, 6-1.
- Vassar goalkeeper Jacob Raphan (Oceanside, NY) turned aside four shots prior to the intermission.
- Coming out of halftime the Red Dragons got on the board with their only goal of the game when Sam Rogers tallied an unassisted goal at 53:57.
- Vassar was held without a shot in the second half with Raphan denying the potential equalizing goal in the 70th minute, his only save of the second frame.
- Oneonta held a 5-0 edge in second half shots and a slim 3-2 advantage in corner kicks.
 
For The Brewers 
	- Tobolski pushed his team lead in goals to six and points to 14 with a three-point afternoon.
- Johnson becomes the seventh different Vassar player with a goal and moves his season point total to three. '
- Tobolski and Jared Fiske (Livingston, NJ) each finished the game with three shots and one shot on goal.
- Johnson put both of his attempts in the game on target.
- Brandon Liu (Seattle, WA) finished with a shot on goal for Vassar.
- Raphan made a season-high five saves in the game, lowering his goals against average on the season to 1.64.
 
For The Red Dragons 
	- Rogers scored his first goal of the season and was one of three Oneonta players with three shots in the game.
- Ali Somow and Owen Siegel each posted two shots on goal.
- AJ Lucas suffered the loss in goal, making three stops.
 
Game Statistics 
	- Oneonta held a 14-11 edge in shots in the game, including a slim 6-5 advantage in shots on goal.
- Corner kicks went to the Red Dragons by a 9-3 margin.

	- Vassar returns home to take on Drew Tuesday afternoon.
