Poughkeepsie, NY – The #41 Vassar College Men's Tennis team picked up its sixth straight victory Sunday morning following a 7-2 win over league rival Skidmore on Senior Day. Prior to the match, the Brewers honored seniors

Jay Wong (Hong Kong).
Saturday's victory improves Vassar to 12-4 overall on the season and to 6-1 in Liberty League play, while Skidmore falls to 3-11 and 2-4 against league rivals.
Doubles
- The Brewers jumped out to a 2-1 lead with doubles victories at the first and third flights against the Thoroughbreds.
- Playing their second match together at the first position, Fernando Bauermeister (Winter Park, FL) and Eugene Lee (Chico, CA) posted a hard fought 8-6 victory.
- The third pair of Wong and Pedro Cattaruzzi (Chatham, NJ) moved to 3-0 as a pair with an 8-5 triumph for the Brewers.
Singles
- Leading 2-1 heading into the singles competition, the Brewers won the first, third, fourth, fifth and sixth matches to seal the victory.
- Arnav Agostinho (Brooklyn, NY) clinched the victory for the Brewers with a sixth singles victory, topping Skidmore's Adel Aissaoui 7-6 (7-2), 6-4.
- Wong won for the fourth straight outing and moved to 10-6 on the season following a 6-4, 6-1 victory at the top position.
- Bauermeister got back into the win column at the third slot after outlasting Yuval Goodman 7-6 (7-4), 6-7 (0-7), 6-4.
- Lee continued a strong rookie season and moved to 10-4 on the year following a 6-4, 6-4 fourth singles triumph.
- Ethan Mantell (Hermosa Beach, CA) improved to 9-3 on the season following a hard fought 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) victory for the Brewers.
What's Next
- Vassar closes out the regular season on April 27 when it travels to RPI who will enter the match unbeaten in conference play.
- Skidmore hosts Ithaca on April 27.
