With Saturday's loss, Vassar closes the regular season at 12-5 overall and 6-2 in Liberty League play, while RPI clinches the top seed in the upcoming Liberty League Championship with a 15-1 overall record and an 8-0 record in conference play.
Doubles
- The Engineers won two of the three doubles decisions, taking the contests at the first and third flights.
- Ethan Mantell (Hermosa Beach, CA) and Henry Zhang (Zhengzhou, China) won the Brewers' only doubles decision, cruising to an 8-2 victory at the second position. The win moved the pair to 3-1 on the season.
Singles
- Lee continued a strong rookie season on Saturday, scoring a 6-4, 6-3 win for Vassar at the fourth flight. The win pushed Lee to 11-4 on the season, gaining the team lead in singles victories.
- Senior Jay Wong (Hong Kong) suffered a hard fought 6-4, 3-6, 0-1 (5-10) defeat at the top flight on Saturday.
- Zhang was in action at the fifth position for Vassar and was outlasted 4-6, 6-3, 0-1 (6-10).
What's Next
- Vassar enters the 2024 Liberty League Championship as the third seed and will commence play in the tournament on May 3.
