Poughkeepsie, NY – The Vassar College Men's and Women's Squash teams will travel to St. Lawrence this weekend to take part in the 2024 Liberty League Squash Championships hosted at the Robie Squash Center in Canton, NY. The Women's team will open play at 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning against Denison, while the Men's squad will tussle with the host Saints at 11:00 a.m.
Vassar Women's Squash At A Glance
- The Brewers enter the championship with a 7-9 overall record and are coming off a pair victories against Wellesley and Smith to close out the regular season.
- Vassar closed the regular season with three victories in its final five matches.
- Senior Anna Lee (Malverne, PA) closed the regular season with three straight victories at the top position and posted six victories at one to go along with a 1-1 record at two.
- Adriana Ordaya (Hartford, CT) won six matches throughout the course of the regular season for the Brewers, including a 3-3 mark at two.
- Sehar Dey-Kohli (Chicago, IL) posted a 5-3 record for the Brewers, including a 4-2 mark at three.
- Sarah Boucher-Rowe (London, UK) scored five victories for Vassar, winning three times at four and twice at five.

- The Brewers head to the North Country with a 5-8 overall record.
- Senior Rithik Jalali (Dubai, UAE) produced a trio of wins for the Brewers at the top position through the course of the regular season.
- First Year Jay Vashisht (Short Hills, NJ) finished the regular season with five victories, playing at one and two.
- Vashisht was tabbed the Liberty League Rookie of the Week twice.
- Kyle Benson (Bronx, NY) heads to the conference championship with tied for the team-high with seven victories, winning matches at four different positions.
- Jarid Haslinger (Los Angeles, CA) joins Benson with a team-high seven victories, including a 5-4 mark at six for the Brewers.
- First Year Gabriel Lugo (East Hartford, CT) earned five wins for the Brewers during the regular season.
Regular Season vs. St. Lawrence
- The Brewers opened the 2023-24 season against the Saints back on October 27, dropping a 9-0 home decision.
- Playing in their first career matches, Vashisht and Lugo put forth strong showings for the Brewers.
- Vashist dropped a 7-11, 14-12, 4-11, 3-11 decision.
- Lugo also pushed the opponent from the Saints to four frames, falling in a hard fought 9-11, 8-11, 12-10, 7-11 loss.
