Troy, NY – Vassar College senior forward,
Duncan Keker (Oakland, CA), has been named a Liberty League Co-Offensive Performer of the Week it was revealed Monday afternoon.
Keker, who shares Monday's honor with Skidmore's Connor Mansfield, finished a 2-0 week for the Brewers with eight points on the strength of three goals and a pair of assists. Keker totaled 13 shots over the two-game stretch and scored on half of the six shots he put on frame.
Keker opened the week with three points in a 3-0 win over RPI on Wednesday. After assisting on what proved to be the game winning goal in the 17
th minute, Keker scored his fourth goal of the season just 28 seconds later.
In the regular season finale on Saturday, a 5-1 victory for Vassar over RIT, Keker potted two more goals and assisted on a third to close the contest with five points. Keker gave the Brewers a 3-0 with his first of the game in the 30
th minute against the Tigers before assisting on Vassar's fourth goal of the game, a
Joshua Lee (Bethlehem, PA) tally in the 70
th minute. Keker closed out the big game with his sixth goal of the season with just under 15 minutes left to play.
Heading into the Liberty League Championship, Keker is second on the team in points (17) and assists (5) and is tied for second on the squad in goals (6). Among the league leaders, Keker is atop the conference leaderboard in points per game (2.13), while sitting in a tie for third in both total goals and total assists.
At 11-3-2 overall and with a 6-1-2 mark in conference play, Vassar earned the top-seed in the upcoming conference championship tournament and will host either Hobart or RIT on Friday in the Semifinal Round.
