Men’s Squash Topped By Visiting Wesleyan

Lalji wins at eight for the Brewers

Poughkeepsie, NY – The Vassar College Men's Squash team closed out a busy weekend on Sunday with an 8-1 home loss to visiting Wesleyan. Junior Razaan Lalji (West Vancouver, BC) scored the Brewers' lone win at eight.
 
Vassar sees its four-match winning streak come to an end and falls to 4-2 overall on the season through six matches.
 
For The Brewers
  • Lalji, who went 2-0 on Saturday at Bard, went the distance at eight on Sunday, outlasting Wesleyan's Rafay Khan 11-5, 11-7, 6-11, 9-11, 11-4.
  • Jarid Haslinger (Los Angeles, CA) fought hard in a 3-1 defeat, dropping a 2-11, 11-7, 7-11, 4-11 decision at the second slot.
  • Playing at three, Kyle Benson (Bronx, NY) suffered a hard fought 3-1 decision by scores of 11-9, 7-11, 3-11, 4-11.
  • First Matthew Okulski (Portland, ME) also battled hard in a tight 11-13, 11-13, 11-5, 4-11 defeat at four.
 
What's Next
  • The Brewers look to get back into the win column on November 23 when they welcome Connecticut College and Haverford to Kenyon Hall.
