Annandale-on-Hudson, NY – The Vassar College Men's Squash team returned to the court on Saturday and eased to a pair of victories, sweeping Siena 9-0 before toppling the host Raptors 5-1. Saturday's results give the Brewers four straight victories.
Winners of four in a row, the Brewers now hold a record of 4-1 on the season.
Vassar 9 – Siena 0
- The Brewers swept all nine matches against the Saints en route to the 9-0 victory.
- Konstantinos Georgallides (Limassol, Cyprus) took care of the opponent at one by scores of 11-7, 11-3, 11-4.
- At two, Jarid Haslinger (Los Angeles, CA) eased to an 11-3, 11-2, 11-2 victory for the Brewers.
- Equally impressive was Kyle Benson (Bronx, NY) at three who posted an 11-3, 11-4, 11-1 win for the Brewers.
- It took First Year Matthew Okulski (Portland, ME) just nine minutes to dispatch the opponent at four by scores of 11-1, 11-2, 11-1.
- Gabriel Lugo (East Hartford, CT) did not drop a game at five, posting a sweep in an 11-0, 11-0, 11-0 triumph.
- Razaan Lalji (West Vancouver, BC) earned a 3-0 victory by posting a trio of 11-6 victories at six.
- Will Knauss (Buffalo, NY) took the victory at seven for Vassar with 11-5, 11-2, 11-4 scores.
- At eight, Joseph Donato (Staten Island, NY) posted an 11-1, 11-3, 11-4 victory.
- Playing at nine, Daniel Smith (Littleton, CO) recorded a dominate 11-1, 11-2, 11-1 victory for the Brewers.
Vassar 5 – Bard 1
- The Brewers completed a Saturday sweep against the Raptors, suffering a loss in just one match.
- Benson moved up to two against the Raptors and scored an 11-0, 11-1, 11-1 victory.
- Lalji made the jump to the third position against Bard and overwhelmed the opponent from the Raptors by scores of 11-0, 11-0, 11-1.
- Knauss earned a second victory on the day with an 11-3, 11-2, 11-1 triumph at four.
- Donato moved to 2-0 on the day following an 11-1, 11-0, 11-3 victory at five.
- Smith also closed a 2-0 day with an 11-2, 11-1, 11-5 win at six for Vassar.
