Brewers Wrap Up Play At Vassar Fall Scramble

Shen and McCusker team for two doubles victories

West Point, NY – The Vassar College Women's Tennis team finished play at the three-day Fall Scramble on Sunday at West Point. Erin McCusker (Norton, MA) and Sofie Shen (New York, NY) teamed for a pair of doubles victories on the day.

Singles

McCusker picked up a win in the first flight of singles play on Sunday, topping the opponent from Hamilton by a score of 6-3.
Shen also picked up a win over Hamilton in the fifth singles flight, scoring a 6-2 victory for the Brewers.
Macey Dowd (Orinda, CA) was victorious in the second flight with a 6-2 triumph over Hamilton.
Iris Li (Palo Alto, CA) scored a 6-0 victory over New Paltz for the Brewers in the sixth singles flight.

Doubles

Shen and McCusker teamed for a pair of doubles victories for Vassar on Sunday, posting a 6-3 win over their opponents from Army West Point in the second flight and adding a 6-3 first flight win over New Paltz.
Maddie Kirby (Davidson, NC) and Elyse Duley (Charolotte, NC) worked together to produce a 6-0 blanking of New Paltz in the second flight.
Maya Thompson (Rockville, MD) and Brooke Berbeco (Scottsdale, AZ) closed the weekend event with a 6-1 win over New Paltz in the third flight.
Ananya Krishnan (Chesterbrook, PA) and Sara Lippin (Chappaqua, NY) teamed for a 6-0 blanking of their opponents from New Paltz in the fourth flight.
