SCHENECTADY, NY - The Vassar College Women's Tennis team won its fourth straight match on Friday evening as the Brewers triumphed 8-1 over Union in a Liberty League matchup. Vassar improves to 10-5 overall and 6-1 in conference action while the Dutchwomen moved to 9-6 overall and 5-3 in Liberty League play.

Iris Li opened up doubles action with an 8-2 victory at two over Chara Meidani and Kennedy Alexis before Marilena Karadimou and Gracie Nicol defeated freshman
Erin McCusker and junior
Sofie Shen 8-3 at the top flight. Senior
Tatum Blalock and sophomore
Elyse Duley earned a 8-4 win at three over Gabby Gatto and Skylar Semon.Â
Li earned the first win at singles with a 6-2, 6-1 victory against Gatto followed by Duley defeating Kate Hirnak 6-2, 6-0 at six. Freshman
Ananya Krishnan tallied a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Semon at five and Blalock rolled to a 6-1, 6-1 win over Meidani at third singles. Dowd earned a win at the top flight with a 6-1, 7-5 decision against Karadimou followed by McCusker winning at two over Nicol 6-4, 7-5.
Vassar will head to Skidmore for its regular season finale on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
