POUGHKEEPSIE, NY - The Vassar College Women's Lacrosse team rolled to a 15-4 home victory over Bard on Wednesday night at Weinberg Turf Field. The Brewers improve to 7-5 overall and 4-4 in Liberty League play while the Raptors fall to 1-11 overall and 0-8 in conference action.
Vassar scored the first six goals of the game as sophomore
Emma Torkelson scored the first goal on an assist from senior
Annie Uyeki before Uyeki tallied a goal of her own about one minute later. Junior
Lola Wright scored at the 13:22 mark on a feed from senior
Kateri Sanseviro followed by a goal from freshman
Catherine Peacock. Rookie
Kali Ringler scored her fourth goal of the season at the 7:26 mark while sophomore
Reilly Mulcahy put the Brewers up 6-0 at the 5:26 mark.
Maggy Peyton tallied Bard's first goal with 5:26 remaining before Sanseviro scored her fifth goal of the year to close the first quarter for Vassar. The Brewers scored the only three goals of the second quarter as freshman

Caroline Smith each recorded a tally to put Vassar up 10-1 at halftime.
Peacock scored her third goal of the night to open the third quarter for the Brewers followed by sophomore
Elizabeth Kendrick's first goal of the season at the 6:23 mark. Billings scored back-to-back goals at the end of the third period to take a 14-1 lead after three.
Bard scored the first two goals of the fourth quarter as Izzi Popolizio and Sarah Child cut the lead to 14-3 before sophomore
Zola Sullivan scored for Vassar at the 5:38 mark. Peyton netted her second goal of the game at the 4:06 mark for the Raptors.
Billings and Peacock each scored three goals for the Brewers and also added three draw controls. Uyeki tallied three assists while Kendrick picked up a team-high three ground balls. Billings, Sullivan and senior
Trina Chou each recorded two ground balls while seven different Brewers had a caused turnover. Chou also had three draw controls along with two draw controls from freshman
Sloan Shade, Mulcahy, Torkelson and Smith. Sophomore
Bree MacMullen earned the win in goal as she made three saves.
Peyton finished with three points, two ground balls and a draw control for the Raptors. Child tallied a goal and three draw controls along with Morgan Ruhle picking up two ground balls and adding a caused turnover. Lexie Blackburn took the loss in goal as she made three saves for Bard.
Vassar will return to action at home for Senior Day on Saturday afternoon for a 12:00 p.m. matchup with St. Lawrence.
