ITHACA, NY - The Vassar College Women's Tennis team cruised to a 9-0 victory over Ithaca on Sunday afternoon in Liberty League action. The Brewers improve to 8-5 overall and 4-1 in league play while the Bombers fall to 8-7 overall and 3-3 in conference play.

Freshman Erin McCusker and junior Sofie Shen tallied an 8-1 win at first doubles over Rebecca Andrews and Zoe Davis followed by a 8-4 win at two by freshman Iris Li and sophomore Macey Dowd against Taylor Crain and Caroline Herz. Three saw senior Tatum Blalock and sophomore Elyse Duley win 8-7 over Kayla Shenk and Sarah Kohberger.

Freshman Ananya Krishnan opened singles play with a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Shenk at five and Duley triumphed 6-2, 6-1 against Eliana Chelnick at six. One saw Dowd earn a 6-3, 6-1 win over Crain followed by Li winning 6-3, 6-3 against Sabrina Cheung at four. Shen took a 6-2, 6-3 victory against Davis at two and McCusker completed the sweep of Andrews at two by a score of 6-1, 6-3.

Vassar plays its home finale on Wednesday afternoon against RPI at 2:30 p.m.
