POUGHKEEPSIE, NY - The Vassar College Women's Tennis team earned a convincing 9-0 win over William Smith on Saturday morning in a Liberty League matchup. The Brewers improve to 7-5 overall and 3-1 in conference play while the Herons fall to 6-9 overall and 1-4 in league action.

Sophomore Macey Dowd and freshman Iris Li completed a 8-1 victory at second doubles over Audrey Camacho and Natalie Haythorn followed by freshman Erin McCusker and junior Sofie Shen earned a 8-5 win over Haley Levine and Isabelle Goings-Perrot. Three saw senior Tatum Blalock and sophomore Elyse Duley triumph 8-6 over Marin Montagne and Julia Pida. 

Freshman Ananya Krishnan took a convincing 6-0, 6-1 victory at fifth singles against Montagne followed by rookie Maya Thompson winning 6-3, 6-2 at six over Mia Tetrault. Dowd triumphed 6-1, 6-0 against Levine at the top flight and Shen took a 6-1, 6-2 win against Haythorn at four. Three saw Blalock earn a 6-3, 6-4 victory against Audrey Camacho and McCusker recorded a 6-4, 6-2 to complete the sweep over Goings-Perrot at two.

Vassar concludes its three game road trip against Ithaca on Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m.
