Box Score PASADENA, C.A. - The Vassar College Women's Tennis team played its third of five matches in California on Wednesday and the Brewers suffered a hard-fought 5-4 loss to Caltech. Vassar falls to 5-3 overall while the Beavers improve to 2-2.

Erin McCusker earning a 8-3 win over Anika Arora and Emily Zhang at top doubles. Athena Kolli and Payal Patel took the win at three against senior

Benchetrit earned the first win in singles as she defeated Blalock 6-2, 6-2 at two followed by Dowd tallying a come-from-behind 1-6, 6-3, 6-3 victory at three over Arora. McCusker recorded a 6-4, 6-4 win against Zhang at the top flight before Solovyeva defeated Li 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 at fourth singles. At five, Kolli triumphed over Shen 7-5, 7-5 to clinch the match victory. Ananya Krishnan earned a strong victory over Patel at six 6-7, 7-5, 10-4.
The Brewers will take on the University of Redlands on Friday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. PST.
