LOS ANGELES, C.A. - The Vassar College Men's Tennis team opened up its Spring Break trip on Monday afternoon in California as the Brewers fell to Occidental 2-7. Vassar's record drops to 4-2 overall while the Tigers improve to 6-2 on the season.
Mason Hart and Brett Miller opened up doubles play at three with a 8-3 win over rookie 
Sigmund Winiecki and junior 
Benjamin Almquist followed by Ace Andres and Ronald Chen defeating sophomore 
Arnav Agostinho and freshman 
Pedro Cattaruzzi 8-5 at second doubles. Seth Lipe and Matthew O'Connor completed the doubles sweep for Occidental with an 8-5 triumph over freshmen 
Fernando Bauermeister and 
Nolan Kubiak at the top flight. 
Agostinho picked up the first Vassar victory at fourth singles with a 6-0, 6-4 decision over Isaac Herrenkohl followed by O'Connor earning a win at the top flight 6-3, 6-4 over Bauermeister. Two saw Chen take a 6-2, 7-5 victory over Almquist while Kubiak tallied a come-from-behind win over Andres 4-6, 6-3, 1-8 at third singles. Zach Haas took the fifth singles victory over sophomore 
James Balon 6-2, 6-4 and Quentin Kemna recorded a 6-4, 6-4 win over rookie 
Ethan Mantell at six.
Vassar returns to action tomorrow afternoon against Cal Lutheran at 2:00 p.m. (PST).Â
