POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Vassar College Men's Tennis team earned an impressive 8-1 victory over #32 United States Coast Guard Academy on Saturday at Walker Field House.

Freshman Ethan Mantell and sophomore James Balon tallied a 8-4 victory at third doubles over Logan De Los Santos and James Vullie-Kowing. Banks Evans and Charles Norman earned a 8-4 win at the top flight over freshmen Nolan Kubiak and Fernando Bauermeister while rookies Pedro Cattaruzzi and Miles Sondergaard Jensen took a 8-6 triumph over Paul Choi and Myles Decoste at two.

Balon rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 win over Vullie-Kowing at fifth singles followed by a 6-2, 6-0 victory by Mantell against Brendan Love at six. Four saw sophomore Arnav Agostinho defeat De Los Santos 6-1, 6-1 along with Kubiak tallying a 6-3, 7-5 win against Choi at third singles. Bauermeister recorded a 6-2, 7-6 win against Evans at first singles with junior Benjamin Almquist earned a hard-fought 4-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-2) victory against Norman at two.

Vassar returns to the courts tomorrow morning at 11:00 a.m. against New Jersey City University.
