CAMBRIDGE, M.A. - The Vassar College Men's Tennis team dropped a 2-7 decision on the road at MIT on Saturday afternoon for its first loss in the spring season. The Brewers dropped to 4-1 overall while the Engineers improved to 2-2 on the season.

Fernando Bauermeister and
Nolan Kubiak 8-0 at the top flight. Two saw Wayne Nelms and Sundeep Chakladar top sophomore

Pedro Cattaruzzi 8-5 followed by junior
Benjamin Almquist and freshman
Sigmund Winiecki winning 8-3 over Daniel Papacica and Joseph Li at three.
Kahler triumphed over Almquist 6-2, 6-3 at second singles while Bauermeister picked up a victory at top singles over Shen 6-4, 6-3. Ryan Xiao topped Agostinho 6-1, 6-4 at four followed by Richter Jordaan earning a hard-fought victory 3-6, 7-6 (8-6), 6-3 over Kubiak. Chaklader tallied the win at five over sophomore
James Balon 6-1, 6-3 before six rounded out the day with Benji Grossman recorded a victory over freshman
Ethan Mantell 6-3, 6-2.
Vassar will head out to California for a week of matches from March 6-11.
