Annandale-on-Hudson, NY – The Vassar College Men's Squash team returned to action on Saturday with a pair of convincing victories, topping Bard 8-1 and Swarthmore 6-0. The pair of victories gives the Brewers four in five outings to date in 2023-24.
For the Brewers – Bard
- Vassar won positions 2 through 9 against the Raptors.
- First Year Jay Vashisht (Short Hills, NJ) scored a convincing 11-3, 11-2, 11-2 victory at two for the Brewers.
- Razaan Lalji (West Vancouver, BC) took care of Bard's Will Egan at three by scores of 11-9, 11-4, 11-1.
- Jarid Haslinger (Los Angeles, CA) found the win column at four against Bard with an 11-1, 11-2, 11-4 triumph.
- Kyle Benson (Bronx, NY) cruised to an 11-3, 11-1, 11-1 win at five for the Brewers.
- First Year Gabriel Lugo (East Hartford, CT) bested the opponent at six with an impressive 11-1, 11-0, 11-1 victory.
- At seven, Will Knauss (Buffalo, NY) scored an 11-1, 11-2, 11-4 victory for the Brewers.
- Daniel Smith (Littleton, CO) earned a victory for Vassar at eight with scores of 11-1, 11-1, 11-3.
- Joseph Donato (Staten Island, NY) turned in an 11-1, 11-2, 11-4 victory for the Brewers at nine on Saturday.
For The Brewers – Swarthmore
- Vassar completed a Saturday sweep with a 6-0 blanking of Swarthmore.
- Playing at one, Vashisht picked up a second win on the day with an 11-2, 11-3, 11-9 victory.
- Benson moved up to two against Swarthmore and earned an 11-2, 11-5, 11-1 win.
- Lugo closed a strong day at three with an 11-2, 11-2, 11-4 triumph.
- Knauss also finished off a 2-0 day with a win at four by scores of 11-6, 11-5, 11-2.
- Smith dispatched the opponent from Swarthmore at five by scores of 11-1, 11-6, 11-1.
- Donato finished off an unbeaten day at six with an 11-1, 11-3, 11-3 victory fort he Brewers.
