WEST POINT, NY - The Vassar College women's tennis team shouldered a tough 4-0 loss to Army - West Point on Wednesday afternoon. The Black Knights improve to 20-9 on the season, while the Brewers suffer just their second loss of the season to move to 12-2.
Playing the DI model, that sees doubles decision count as one point, Army got things going in a dominant way from two as the duo of Sam DiMaio and Julia Kelly recorded a 6-0 win over Vassar junior

Next up from one, Army's pair of Paola Bou and Justine Dondonay recorded a 6-2 win over senior

Sofie Shen. The Black Knights picked up the doubles point from three as MaryJo Pidgeon and Anna Loureiro notched a 6-3 win over senior

Singles action - which was played to decision - saw Army take a 2-0 lead behind a 6-0, 6-1 win by Sophie McKenzie over Stavropoulos from four. Next off was Paulina Feoli at three, earning a 6-2, 6-1 win against Shen, while the match decision came at six as Jenna Sabile posted a6-3, 6-2 win over Duly.
Vassar is back on the court on Saturday with a key Liberty League match on Josselyn Courts as it welcomes Skidmore College at 1pm.
