REDLANDS, CA - It was another tough battle for the Vassar College men's tennis team, squaring-off against the University of Redlands on Wednesday afternoon. The Bulldogs, winners of three straight matches, improve to 3-1 on the season. The Brewers are now 3-4 overall.
Doubles action got things going as Stefan Hester and Thomas Reznik recorded an 8-5 win over VC senior
Mathew Yee and rookie
Arnav Agostinho at one. From two, Andrew Yip and Jack Mattox defeated Brewers sophomores

Jay Wong, 8-3.
Vassar got a point back as senior

Arun Guruswamy combined for an 8-5 victory over Donovan Lilov and Max Hoffman at three.
Singles action saw Yip post a 6-2, 6-1 win over Agostinho, followed by Hester gutting out a 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) victory over Yee for the Brewers. The match point came at four as Lilov notched a 6-4, 6-0 win against Almquist, followed by Mattox with a 6-4, 7-6 (7-1) win against Wong.
Six was decided next as Hoffman defeated Vassar sophomore
Nihal Kothari with a tough 3-6, 6-2, 10-6 win, while at five, Nelson posted another hard-fought win, defeating Ivanovic by a 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-5) score.
Vassar is back on the court on Friday when it heads to Los Angeles for a 3pm (PST) match at Occidental College.
