ROCHESTER, NY – It was a clean sweep on Saturday as the Vassar College women's tennis team bested Rochester Institute of Technology by a 9-0 margin in Liberty League play at the Midtown Athletic Club on Saturday. The 31st-ranked Brewers improve to 9-1 overall and 2-0 in league play, while the Tigers are now 3-3 and 1-3 in the Liberty League.

Melina Stavropoulos posted an 8-1 win over sophomore Jackie Drozd and rookie Gabby Donohue. From two, junior

Macey Dowd combined for an 8-1 win over sophomore Abby Murray and junior Mackenzie Wade.
Rounding out doubles play was an 8-2 victory by senior captain

Elyse Duley at three as the Brewers took a 3-0 lead into singles action.
In singles action, Vassar opened a 4-0 advantage as Stavropoulos defeated Murry, 6-0, 6-1. Two saw Dowd with a 6-0, 6-0 victory against Donohue, while at five, Kizilbash was a 6-1, 6-1 winner over Julia Smolowitz. At three, Shen grabbed a 6-1, 6-1 win against Kirsten Auble, followed by a 6-1, 6-1 win for Duley against Julianne Ho. Rounding out the action was Blalock with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Drozd at one.
The Brewers are right back in action on Sunday, traveling to St. Lawrence in a 1:30pm Liberty League match against the Saints. RIT is back on the court next Saturday at Rochester for a 12pm tilt.
