SCHENETADY, N.Y. - Union poured in 11 first half goals and used staunch defense throughout the game enroute to a 19-5 win over Vassar in Liberty League men's lacrosse action on Saturday at Frank Bailey Field. The eighth-ranked Dutchmen move to 3-0 on the season, while the Brewers are now 0-3.
Union jumped out to a fast advantage, scoring the first five goals of the game in the opening quarter. Jack Donahue and Peter Burnes each scored a pair of goals during the nine-minute scoring stretch.

Joseph Bradley tacked on the Brewers second goal with 24 seconds on the clock, connecting on a feed from rookie
Troy Santise, but his marker was sandwiched by a pair of Union tallies for a 7-2 Dutchmen lead after one quarter.
Second quarter action saw the Brewers close the gap as sophomore
Maximus Albanese netted back-to-back tallies. His first came off a feed from junior
Connor Deehan, while Santise picked up his second assist of the day with the 7:45 goal to make it 7-4.
Unfortunately, the Dutchmen went on a 7-0 run extending into the third quarter to open up a 14-4 edge. Deehan added a score off an Albanese pass at 4:20 of the third for Vassar's fifth goal, but two more Union tallies combined with three more in the fourth to close out the scoring.
Albanese paced the offensive effort with two goals and an assist, while Deehan added a goal and a helper. Santise added two assists. Sophomore
