POUGHKEEPSIE, NY - The Vassar men's squash team shouldered a tough 9-0 loss to Liberty League-rival Hobart College on Sunday morning at Kenyon Courts. The #25 Statesmen moved to 2-3 with the win, while the #33 Brewers are now 5-3 on the season.
At the top of the ladder, Mo Abdelhafez posted an 11-7, 11-6, 11-6 victory over Vassar sophomore
Rithik Jalali, while from two, Omar Kiwan was an 11-4, 11-4, 11-3 winner over senior
Henry Mitchell. At three, Hussein Labib posted an 11-7, 11-7, 11-2 victory against Brewers rookie
Patrick Looby, and four saw Giacomo Dalle Molle record a 15-13, 11-6, 11-4 win over senior
Max Swan.
From five, Sayf Elhawary was an 11-7, 11-1, 11-6 winner over senior captain
Alex Wisneski, while from six, Roberto Vega notched an 11-6, 11-3, 11-5 win against Vassar freshman
Jarid Haslinger.
At seven, Cameron Temoyan posted an 11-5, 11-7, 11-1 win against Vassar rookie
Azaan Malik, while at eight, senior captain
Reese Collins shouldered a tough 11-9, 11-1, 11-7 loss to James Mazzarelli. Rounding out the action was junior
Josh Finkelstein, who fell by an 11-6, 11-7, 11-5 margin against Hobart's Quran Davis.
Vassar is now idle until December 4 when it welcomes Connecticut College (11am) and Haverford College (3pm) to Kenyon Courts.
