HAVERFORD, PA – The Vassar College men's squash team returned to action on Saturday, swinging through Pennsylvania for the first two games of a four-game road swing this weekend. The Brewers shouldered tough 9-0 losses to both Georgetown and Haverford on Saturday to fall to 4-13 on the season.
In the loss to the Hoyas, Vassar saw
Sameer Mustafa shoulder a tough 3-0 (11-8, 11-7, 11-5) loss to Brando Sodi at the top of the ladder. From two, Sam Hitt recorded a 3-0 (11-5, 11-8, 11-2) win against VC's
Milind Joshi. At three, Rick Burke was a 3-0 (11-6, 11-6, 11-7) winner over
Henry Mitchell, while from four, Luca Perper earned a 3-1 (11-8, 4-11, 11-2, 11-3) victory against
Alex Wisneski.
From five, Max Sodi picked up a 3-1 (7-11, 11-4, 11-1, 11-7) win over Vassar's
Reese Collins, while at six, Michael Keane posted a 3-1 (11-7, 5-11, 11-9, 11-4) victory versus
Jonah Miles. Seven was another 3-1 decision as Brendan Tong bested
Liam Condon (11-7, 14-12, 9-11, 11-2).
At eight, Charles Rote earned the 3-1 (11-8, 11-7, 8-11, 11-6) win over
Max Swan, while from nine, Shrenik Agrawal defeated
Josh Finkelstein, 3-0 (11-9, 12-10, 11-7).
In the second game against the homestanding Fords, Davis Chase was a 3-0 (11-1, 11-6, 11-7) winner over Mustafa, while at two, Quinton Ayres Crawford posted a 3-0 (11-3, 11-5, 11-4) victor against Joshi.
Three was won by James Dougherty as he defeated Mitchell, 3-0 (11-4, 11-2, 11-3), while at four, Keil Reedich was the 3-0 (11-0, 11-2, 11-2) winner against Wisneski. John Collins posted the win from five, besting Collins, 3-0 (11-5, 11-0, 11-2) and Alden Weinberg grabbed the 3-0 (11-1, 11-1, 11-3) victory against Miles.
From seven, Nathan Wang was a 3-0 (11-3, 11-5, 11-5) winner against Condon, while Khalil Walker won 3-0 (11-7, 11-6, 11-3) at eight. Action concluded at nine as Aaron Witkin defeated Finkelstein, 3-0 (11-4, 11-3, 11-1).
The men return to action on Sunday when they travel to Hamilton College. The Brewers will face the host Continentals at 1:30pm, followed by a match against Colgate at 3pm.
