Vassar and Hobart played three thrillers in doubles, with the Statesmen taking two of the three points despite in three matches with identical 9-7 score lines. Hobart took the lead early thanks to Jonah Salita and Alan Dubrowsky, as they eked out a decision over Vassar's regionally ranked pair of

Adam Krueger.
Vassar fell behind 2-0 after another 9-7 loss at No. 3 doubles, but junior
Jamie Anderson and freshman
David Gandham rallied to earn a 9-7 win at the No. 2 spot over Walker Anderson and Harry Nichols of Hobart.
The visitors jumped out to a 3-1 lead to start singles' action, as Auh was topped in straight sets by Anderson at the No. 4 position 6-1, 6-4. Hobart moved to within one of clinching the match at No. 2 singles thanks to a 6-3, 6-2 win by Salita, making the score 4-1 for the Statesmen. Vassar began a comeback thereafter, as Anderson earned his second win of the day with a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 5 over Nichols.

Nicolas Demaria rallied from down a set after falling 6-4 in the opening set to dominate the last two sets, evening the match with a 6-0 second set triumph before earning a 6-2 win in the third to take the win.
In the final match of the day, Krueger and Jon Atwater played a classic, going back-and-forth the entire day. Atwater picked up the first set 6-4, but Krueger came right back to turn the tables on Atwater with a 6-4 win in the second. Neither of the two would back down, but in the end Krueger was able to outlast his opponent to pick up a thrilling 6-4 third set win.
