POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (February 3, 2018) – The Vassar men's squash team went 0-2 on Day One of the 2018 Liberty League Championships on Saturday in Kenyon Hall.
The Brewers matched up with Bard on the opening round, falling by a score of 9-0, and followed that up with a 9-0 loss to Hobart later in the afternoon.
Vassar used the same lineup in both of their matchups on the day.
Viraj Nadkarni played as the No. 1, dropping both in three games.
Mathieu Rizk played behind him falling, 11-9, 11-5, 11-9 to Aya Maeda from Bard and then 11-2, 11-3, 11-3 to Terrance Rose of Hobart. Rounding out the top three for Vassar was
Caden Gruber. Against bard, he fell 11-3, 11-8, 11-4 to Pranjal Ghate and then faced Ilyas Khan and was swept in three.
VC faces more stiff competition tomorrow as they take on the University of Rochester and St. Lawrence University beginning at noon. Action takes place in Kenyon Hall and all results will be posted live on
