POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. –
The Vassar College women's swimming & diving team honored its six seniors prior to Saturday afternoon's meet against Skidmore.  The Brewers then went out and defeated the Thoroughbreds for the 11th consecutive year, earning a 173-103 victory at Kresge Pool.

Vassar set the tone by going 1-2 in the opening 200 yard medley relay, as the Brewers were first in 12 of the 16 events.  The victorious quartet of Jesse Ecklund (Missoula, MT), Hayley Schultz (Fayetteville, NY), Brynn Lautenbacher (Dunwoody, GA) and Stephanie Kaplan (Bellmore, NY) posted a time of 1:52.82.

Ecklund and Lautenbacher then went on to win a pair of individual wins.  Lautenbacher swept the sprints, notching a 25.27-second clocking in the 50 freestyle and finishing the 100 freestyle in 55.94 seconds.  Ecklund earned victories in two different disciplines, placing first in both the 200 freestyle (2:00.45) and 200 backstroke (2:09.69).  Schultz also registered an individual triumph in the 200 breaststroke (2:32.44).

It was another 1-2-3 showing in the 100 butterfly, with Ellie Kennedy-Wood (Oak Park, IL) earning the victory in 1:03.23.  Laura Vidano (San Francisco, CA) finished second (1:05.04), while Healey's 1:05.60 clocking was good for third.  Rhea Randhawa (Dix Hills, NY) won the 100 backstroke in 1:00.61, while Shannon Schrope (Kinnelon, NJ) captured first place in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.32) to go along with a second-place performance in the 200 breaststroke (2:36.03).
