NEWBURGH, N.Y. – Following a six-point lead at halftime, the Brewers (3-1) posted 25 points in the third to outlast the Knights (1-2) on Tuesday evening. Junior
Jackie Cenan (Laguna Beach, CA) tallied a career-high 21 points and eight rebounds in Vassar's69-58 win.

Vassar came out of the gates strong, with Cenan scoring four unanswered points to start. A jumper by the Knights' Elizabeth Limonta and a layup by Annie Keenan tied the game up, but
Ryan DeOrio (Collegeville, PA) connected for a three pointer to push the lead to 7-4. After some back-and-forth action, Cenan closed the quarter with a layup to give Vassar a 14-10 lead.

Mount Saint Mary hung around in the first half, but Vassar began to pull away soon after. Cenan tacked on 10 more points in the second half, while
Isa Peczuh (Wilmington, DE), DeOrio and
Sophie Nick (Denver, CO) added six each. Defense played a large factor, with Vassar no allowing a single Knights' three pointer and holding Mount Saint Mary to a 36.8 shooting percentage. Â Â

The Brewers finished the game with 46 rebounds with Peczuh grabbing seven and
Lexi Mousley (Jericho, VT) having six. Vassar assisted on 14 of 25 made baskets as well.
