POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - Â The Vassar College men's squash team faced a slight setback against a talented Bard team on Saturday morning at Kenyon Hall. Bard and the Brewers split the first eight positions, but the Raptors went on to win the tiebreak at the ninth spot.

Bard swept Vassar 3-0 in the first four positions.
Milind Joshi (Pune, India) put the Brewers in the win column after a three-set sweep of Alex Luscher. Joshi slipped by Luscher in the first set winning 15-13, but then cruised with 11-4 and 11-3 victories.

Travers Parsons-Grayson (Newport, VT) then picked up his fifth win of the season with a convincing 3-0 decision against Simon Nichosen. The seventh to ninth contests got a little closer. No. 7
Reese Collins (Bedford, NH) went four set with Noah Gichan. Collins won the first two 11-6 and 11-8, but fell 7-11 in the third. He came back strong in the final, pulling off an 11-4 victory.
Eric Chen (Poughkeepsie, NY) recorded his second win of the year, going 3-1 against John Michael Richards. Chen picked up a close 13-11 first-set win, but fell 4-11 in the third. Chen rallied 11-8 in the fourth to secure the victory. Â

Drew Hardin (Darien, CT) played the ninth spot and was tripped up by Bard's Devon Wall. Hardin fell 4-11 and 10-12 in the first two sets, but tallied a 12-10 third-set win. Wall then edged Hardin in the fourth set 7-11.

The Brewers have a slight break now and return to action on Dec. 1 for the Vassar Round Robin at Kenyon Hall.
