In the opening quarter, the Saints led by as much as eight points with under two minutes to play. But a run of points by Maeve Sussman and Cook cut the deficit to two by the end of the period. And in the second quarter, Ryan DeOrio put the Brewers ahead with two free throws early in the stanza.

Out of the break Vassar had one layup by Nick, but St. Lawrence finished the period with 15 straight points. The Brewers next basket didn't come until Cook knocked down three free throws at the 6:44 mark of the fourth quarter. Nick then connected on a three-point attempt to cut the lead to two.
