Last Time Out: The Brewers had a tough time against No. 22 MIT, losing by a score of 7-2. Although the loss ended their eight-game win streak, the victory wasn't without some highlights.  Junior Kate Christensen led the Brewers with an exciting 10-6 super-tiebreaker win over No. 15 Dora Tzeng. That marks her fifth straight win in a row, pushing her to 17-5 on the season. In doubles, Christensen continued to show her dominance toppling Sonya Das and Serena Le by a margin of 8-6 with fellow Brewer Morgane Flournoy.

A Look At The Brewers:
  • Coming into this game, the Brewers are now ranked 40th nationally and 14th in the region.
  • Despite the loss last weekend, the Brewers are looking strong coming into this rival match, winning eight of their last nine matches.
  • Vassar's doubles team continues to be the stronger unit of the two with a .695 win percentage compared to a .680 from the singles side.
  • Six Brewers currently lie in the double digit column for single wins, led by Junior Connie Yoo who is currently 18-5 on the season.
  • The doubles squad of Christensen and Flournoy head the Brewers in the department, moving to 12-3 on the season. Trailing closely behind them are Becker and Edwards who after last weekend's loss are now 10-9.
  • The Brewers are currently undefeated in league, beating their last Liberty League opponent, St. Lawrence, in a decisive 8-1 win.
  • Currently Vassar has a positive win percentage against regionally ranked teams, going 5-1.

A Look At The Thoroughbreds:
  • Skidmore will look to continue their run at the top of the Liberty League table this weekend after defeating St. Lawrence 8-1 earlier this month to go 6-0 in conference play.
  • Despite strong conference performance, the Thoroughbreds have been shaky in non-conference play going 2-6.
  • Last weekend Skidmore lost to No. 19 Brandeis 6-3 at the Wellesley Nor'Easter Bowl, dropping all but one singles match. They went 1-1 on the weekend after toppling No. 33 Wellesley 6-3.
  • The singles and doubles sides of the Thoroughbreds are relatively even in win percentages this season, going 0.594 and 0.592 respectively.
  • Renee Karchere-Sun, who was the only individual from the school to win against Brandeis last weekend, leads the singles side. She is now 16-6 on the season
  • The duo of Jessica Ampel and Danielle Giannetti lead the doubles squad and are currently 11-8 overall after defeating the No.3 of Brandeis.
